Interviews Policies
For player and coaches interviews, please
contact the Jack Duggan in the Athletic Media
Relations Office (601-266-4503) at least one
day in advance of the requested interview.
All interviews, both players and coaches,
MUST be arranged through the Southern
Miss Athletic Media Relations Office, there
are no exceptions to this rule.
Head coach Scott Berry is normally
available each non-game day morning for
interviews arranged in advance through the
athletic media relations office.
After all games, Coach Berry and requested players will be available for interviews
on the field, following a cooling-off period.

Photographers/Videographers
Only accredited photographers/videographers on assignment may work on the field.
Photographers can shoot from the outside
corner of either dugout on the concreted
areas or marked boxes only. They may also
shoot in the camera wells at the top of either
the first or third base side of the grandstand.

available for the media’s use. Refreshments

Rogers, Thames and Welch
Baseball Center
The Rogers, Thames and Welch Baseball
Center is closed to all members of the media
without permission from the Athletic Media
Relations Office.
Road Game Credentials
Media members covering Southern Miss
baseball may request credentials for road
games either through the opposing sports
information office or the Southern Miss
Athletic Media Relations Office.
Working Credentials
Media credentials for Southern Miss
home baseball games are issued through
the Southern Miss Athletic Media Relations
Office for working media only. Requests
from sports editors of daily newspapers and
sports directors of television stations, along
with media agencies covering the visiting
team, will receive top priority. Only radio
stations with a full-time sports director,
who conducts a daily sports show, will
receive credentials.
Requests from weekly newspapers and
radio stations that cover Southern Miss or
the visiting team on a regular basis will also
be honored on a space-available basis.
Space will not be made available for
professional scouts, spouses or dates. Nonworking individuals will not be permitted in
the press box at any time.

be e-mailed in advance of requested
game(s) to Jack Duggan at Jack.Duggan@
usm.edu. Credentials can be picked up at
the Athletic Media Relations Office prior to
the game or will be left at the “Will Call”

Southern Miss Press Box
As a part of the recent expansion of Pete
Taylor Park, the University of Southern
Miss Athletic Media Relations Office is
grateful to operate one of the finest collegiate press boxes in the nation.
The press box can accommodate 25-30
people in the main media room in addition
to spacious radio booths for the home and
visiting team and an oversized booth for
television use. The press box is equipped
with wireless internet capabilities, a fax
machine and standard telephone lines. The
press box can be accessed by the elevator in
the main concourse. Admission to the press
box is by working credential only.

Press Parking
The parking lot at Pete Taylor Park is
reserved parking, with limited spots available to working media. For more information contact Jack Duggan. Open parking
spots are available on a first-come basis
at Reed-Green Coliseum located directly
across 4th Street.
