2011-12 Mens Basketball Guide

Players: Please contact the Athletic Media Relations Office (601) 266-4503 at least one day in advance of the requested player interview. Players will return calls at a mutually acceptable time. Home telephone numbers will not be given out. Do not attempt to interview any player on the phone or in person without setting up the interview with the Athletic Media Relations Office. There will be no exceptions.

Coaches

With the start of fall practice and throughout the season, please arrange all interviews with coaches through the Athletic Media Relations Office. Head Coach Larry Eustachy is normally available each nongame day afternoon for telephone interviews arranged in advance.

Practices

Media representatives are invited to attend practices at all times (unless prior notice of a closed practice is given).

Postgame

After home games, and following a closed meeting with the players, Coach Eustachy will move to the media room for his postgame interview session. Following Coach Eustachy’s meeting with the team, players requested for media interviews will be escorted to the postgame interview session.

The same format will be used for postgame interviews following road games, with the coach moving to whatever location is designated for visiting coaches. The players’ locker room is closed following each game unless otherwise noted. The Athletic Media Relations Director of the visiting school will establish admittance policies to the visiting locker room.

Ticket Information

Tickets to all Southern Miss basketball games may be purchased through the Southern Miss Athletic Ticket Office. There are a variety of ticket purchase plans for both Eagle Club members and the general public. For more information regarding tickets to Southern Miss basketball, contact the ticket office at 601-266-5418.

Because of easy access to information on the site, releases will not be mailed. The official statistics will be available on the same day of home games and the day after road games.

Conference USA Teleconference
The Conference USA coaches will be fea-
tured on a monthly teleconference, which
will be held on Tuesdays, Jan. 3, Feb. 7,
Mar. 6 and Mar. 12.
The teleconference numbers are avail-
able from the athletic media relations office
for media members, who cover Southern
Miss basketball. Members of the media
can also secure the number by calling the
Conference USA office at 214-774-1300.

Athletic Media Relations Office

The Southern Miss Athletic Media Relations Office is located on the second floor of the new Athletic Center, which is located in the north end zone of M. M. Roberts Stadium. The Athletic Media Relations suite is located on the second floor in rooms 227-237.
