game for the first time in school history, falling to Connecticut. The
2010 Louisville men’s soccer team took an undefeated record into
the College Cup final before falling to Akron.
Prior to joining the University of Louisville, Pemberton served as
the assistant sports information director at the University of Missouri
from 1996-98. While at Missouri she was the primary contact for
women’s basketball, volleyball and softball. She also assisted with
football and men’s basketball game day duties. Pemberton was the
assistant sports information director at the UTC for one year before
joining the Missouri staff.
She began her career in sports information as an intern at the
University of Kentucky. While at UK, she handled the publicity
efforts of three-time national champion Jenny Hansen. During her
career she has been involved in hosting numerous conference and
NCAA Championships, most recently hosting the NCAA Women’s
Basketball First and Second Rounds in Freedom Hall. She has also
won numerous citations for her publications, including two best in
the nation awards.
A native of Louisville, Pemberton earned her bachelor’s degree in
communications from the University of Louisville in 1993.
